A typical day on quarter-life crisis. No where to go, no one to meet. But today, is gonna be somewhere to go and someone to meet. She's ready earlier. Excited. She's going to her favorite coffee shop and buy her favorite drink, hot chocolate. Today, she buys 2 large cups of hot chocolate. She takes a seat, waiting, excited.
Waiting, waiting, and waiting. She feels bored, disappointed. Blaming herself why have to believe. What to expect, by the way? She starts to think she's someone's joke. She's been waiting up to 2 hours long. Tired.
But then he shows up. Suddenly all the dark clouds disappear, change into rainbow. All the lights come out. They talk, unstoppable. Till one time, the rose comes out. A beautiful single rose. He talks, and talks, and pours all of his heart. She's out of words.
As she handed the rose, she smiled. Her first rose of all time. A beautiful single rose with 'happy birthday' written on it. But she knows she can't. She can't let all the fairytales come true.
There goes reality. Reality wakes her up. And it's better that way. So is hot chocolate. It's not always sweet, it's bitter as well. And that makes it taste great. But don't forget, to always remember the ones who treat you sweet.
